Visited for 3 days as part of a road trip through Alentejo into the Algarve. Lovely resort with river and sea beaches. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Visited out of season so very quiet apart from a volume of backpackers. Weather was perfect.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom - 10

Lovely hostess, fabulous location high up so we enjoyed the sunset. Apartment was very clean & well equipped, large, comfortable bed. Wifi very strong. Nice luxury whilst walking 12 days of the Fisherman's trail. Beware the Mercado in the town was closed at 3.30 so we purchased sardines, cheese & wine fir our dinner at the apartment as it us 2.5km out of townGuest review byKerrie - 8.0
Almograve is a beautiful town close to an amazing beach.
Almograve is a beautiful town close to an amazing beach. The town itself was smaller than the surrounding towns with less amenities , like restaurants to choose from, but we were only there for one night so it was fine. We walked down the road to the beach to enjoy an amazing sunset. The weather was beautiful while we were there. ,Guest review byCam2017Canada - 8.0

Sines was quiet when we visited, and I would guess it only gets small numbers of tourists. It has a lovely beach with fishing boats on one side of the bay/harbour and heading South, along the coast is industrial/oil refinery. You don't really see this from the town but I think this is why there are fewer visitors than would otherwise be expected of this town with the castle overlooking the crescent beach. A pleasant, quiet town. We ate at Merceara27 and it was great, with live music.Guest review byJohnnySpain - 6.0

It was low season and there was not much going on. It appears that apart from the beach and one golf club there is not so much to be done in Troia. There were a few restaurants but not that many. Supermarket in the village was extremely, expensiveGuest review byIrmgardPortugal - 2.0

The apartment was not in Comporta which was about 15 mins drive away. I would not recommend visiting in March as there was very little to do nearby. It is probably a lovely place to stay in the Summer monthsGuest review byJacquelineUnited Kingdom - 10

An amazing place i went there at least 2x a year, and I love the envoirment. At this time I went at Feira de Melides time, and it was a super traditional trip. I used to go to the farmers market as well to buy biological fruits an veggies to prepare my meals during the stay and sometimes to supply my home with natural products.Guest review byCatarina RATOPortugal - 10

This charming seaside village offers an ideal spot to relax and recharge. Although it can get quite crowded in July and August, its peaceful atmosphere makes it perfect for a getaway. There are many cafés and restaurants where you can truly experience Portuguese cuisine, but as always, check reviews to steer clear of tourist traps!Guest review byDuartedbPortugal - 8.0
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season.
A typical seaside town that quietens down after the season. We visited in February so almost everything was closed. It was lovely because there were no tourists and you could easily find a place in a restaurant (although it wasn't that easy to find an open restaurant). The center still has the feel of an old-type fishing village with tiny cute white and blue houses, but you can see and feel the pressure of the modern beach town which is just behind the old city center. Great beaches and amazing cliffs add to the attractiveness of Porto Covo both in winter and in summer.Guest review byMariaPoland
