Dar Hi is an exceptional building located on an exceptional site overlooking a courbeil/valley of palm trees and the small town of Nefta. It is a stark architectural proposition that aims to redefine a hotel stay as contributing to and reflecting community life. Whether it succeeds in doing so is difficult to establish. We were the only guests in the hotel. It is however a great ambition. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with fresh fruit, pancakes, cheese, eggs etc. The evening dinner simple, fresh and tasteful. It was the beginning of December and the temperature was a bit too cold to use the outside pool. The communal spaces have exceptional views and so have the rooms. My husband very much liked reading while lying on a lounge bed overlooking the courbeil. We both liked sitting in front of the open fire in the communal area. the bed was comfortable and the shower great. We think it is great for small group stays while exploring the region.

Amazing place in Tozeur, hidden gem of this town. The owner is friendly and helpful. Breakfast under the palms is tasty. The room was clean and comfy. Cozy and quiet place in the walking distance to town center. One night in such place is not enough. Highly recommended staying at least for two nights.

Fatima and Taieb are truly the best! You really know the magic of being the best hosts! I had the time of my life in Villa Fatima. I was encouraged to have a day tour with driver at Chebika Oasis and all the amazing places, then 1 night in a tent in Sahara. After the night in Sahara (by the way the best sunset and sunrise of my life), I had a day tour with Taieb and had so much fun. This all was extra and we made a clear deal about the payment, and I appreciate that they really wanted me to get to know the best places in Tunisia. I was heard all the time and they really made sure everything is great. I have never had this trustful connection with any guesthouse and I can recommend it to everyone. Even if you didn't take the "extra tours", I promise that you will feel very welcoming and warm and they will tell you the best places to visit in Tozeur. If you ever find yourself wanting to visit the utterly charming desert town of Tozeur (which you absolutely should), there is only one place you should spend your time. At the Dar Amina you will find everything you could possibly want. Clean, nicely furnished rooms, a pool in summer and a house that even the locals say is the most beautiful in the entire medina. But all that is nothing compared to the wonderful owner. She is one of the most delightful and amazing people you will ever meet. Come and visit Tozeur and the Dar Amina!
