The good…The staff at check in was great, the room was clean and inviting. The bad…. The bed was hard as a rock and my back hurt both days waking up, no microwave in room to reheat a meal, the staff in cafeteria and breakfast area was extremely rude both days, to the point we just walked out the second day and skipped breakfast that was paid for at almost $20 per person, per day. Very unkind, never got coffee with our meal, and got nasty if you ask a question or needed anything. I thought the first day maybe she’s had a tough morning and let it go, we all have bad days, but she was just as nasty, if not nastier, the second morning! We lost power in hotel until almost 2:30am with ZERO COMMUNICATION of what was happening or what to do, still did not apologize at check out or offer any type of a refund or credit to the room. We travel to area often and will reconsider ever staying here again for that specific reason, for the price we paid (almost $200 a night), you should at least be treated properly by staff!Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10

I recently stayed at this vacation rental in South Bend, and it far exceeded all expectations. From the moment I booked, the host was absolutely fantastic — available 24/7, incredibly responsive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location is ideal. It’s very close to the Notre Dame campus and the shuttle access is super convenient — perfect if you don’t want to worry about driving or parking. The space itself was immaculate, beautifully furnished, and had everything I needed. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, full kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel homey and high‑end. Communication was flawless; any small question or request was handled immediately. The host’s attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the stay feel personal and worry‑free. Overall, this was an exceptional stay — excellent value, perfect location, and a host who truly cares. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting South Bend / Notre Dame, and I would absolutely stay here again.Guest review byChelsyUnited States - 4.0
Ft Wayne is a great city with tons of things to see and do.
Ft Wayne is a great city with tons of things to see and do. The restaurant selections are fantastic as well as the shopping. Best restaurant is Biaggis, Flat Top Grill and O’ Charles. There are many more to add to the list. The chicken parm is awesome and their lasagna is great. I have found this city to be easy to navigate with my GPS. Places to visit are the Embassy for concerts, the zoo, the Colesium.Guest review byPaul - 10

Plan ahead, busy weekends, a lot of functions. Great people, road net logistics, food, functions, history, entertainment, arts, tech, college town draw. We are moving there next three years, we have lots of transplanted Ohio State Buckeye family but we'll manage.Guest review byRussUnited States - 2.0

Getting around town was a nightmare with all the road construction! We moved away a year ago and a lot of these projects are still going on. We never went anywhere there was not construction going on. The railroad tracks are still as horrible as ever. We moved to a city (Wichita) where the streets are nice, the stoplights are timed, railroad tracks are smooth and road projects are started and completed in a very timely matter. Evansville, it CAN be done!!!! Gas costs about 38 cents a gallon more in Evansville than anyplace between Wichita and Evansville. We are so glad that we moved! We don't miss Evansville at all, and we grew up there!Guest review byAnonymous - 10

I come to Merriville every year since 2020 to see my granddaughter and my great grandchildren. I stay in a hotel for a week to 10 day's at a time. All the reasonable price hotel have gone down hill. They are dirty, have black mold, and bug's. The pools are in poor condition and need work done to them. I think that the Health Inspector of Merriville needs to visit most of the Hotels in the area and Fine most of them. Those hotels are bringing down the reputation of the city of Merriville. In the future I will stay at a Abnb or another town.Guest review byAnonymousUnited States - 10

Arrived and room was stuffy.
Arrived and room was stuffy. Turned on AC and discovered it was very loud (broken). Later went down to front desk to ask for assistance in turning off AC becuase I had a Zoom call and couldn't have it with the loud AC. Front desk person came up to the room when I requested help in turning the AC off and heard the loud AC. When I asked her if I could have another room, she didn't respond. Had to go down to front desk again (telephone in room also didn't work) at 1:30 am to request another room, which the desk person provided, although I had to move all my stuff.Guest review byLatheUnited States - 6.0

The shuttle wasn't available, and low unprofessional staffing was very dissapointing. Also, the Cafe was closed due to low staff. The hotel is clean, comfortable, which is a plus, but I won't be staying there again, because of the hassle without a shuttle, and no food.Guest review byDonnaUnited States - 10

It's a college town, so a lot of diversity in restaurants, cultures, people, etc. Lovely campus to walk around. Kirkwood Avenue, Fourth Street, and the town square provide about any dining experience you could imagine. The town is both quaint and modern, and the surrounding area has beautiful forest, water, and hilly landscapes.Guest review byWinesUnited States
