The hotel is really well placed, close to all the interesting locations. You can walk everywhere without trouble. The room itself is incredible and super clean. The staff at the reception is knowledgeable and extremely helpful! We stayed for our honey moon and got a gift 🎁 Concerning the facilities, it's again incredible! The fitness is recent and great, the pool is classy and you also have a guest laundry which is so convenient! Overall an amazing stay and we would stay here again if we'd have the opportunity!

We stayed on the 37th floor, above which are called "penthouse". The view from there was amazing, with Waikiki Beach below, Diamond Head in full view to the east -- everything seemed to be ours in hand. The people are very friendly and helpful, much higher than the average "high-class" hotels in Waikiki.

The location of the hotel is amazing, right on the shopping strip and minutes walk to the Waikiki beach. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, we had a double for a family of two adults and two kids, balcony with partial sea view. The pool area is nice but gets very busy. The hotel offered complimentary sunrise yoga by the pool which was a lovely experience. Laundry room was an added bonus. The hotel shop was fully stocked with all sorts of necessities. Would definitely recommend staying here! A note of appreciation for the housekeeper in charge of our floor, Zhi Yi, for her hospitality, made our stay memorable!

A hidden gem in Waikiki – I didn’t want to leave I honestly loved everything about Kaimana Beach Hotel. Even though it’s a known name in Waikiki, it still feels like one of those places you want to keep to yourself because it’s just that good. Mornings here are something else – I’d step out onto the balcony, take in the view, and feel like I was right in the middle of the ocean. Then it was straight down for a swim in the most beautiful, calm water you can imagine. The sunsets? Absolutely unforgettable. And the location is spot on – peaceful and away from the noise, but close enough to walk into Waikiki whenever you want. The ocean breeze keeps everything fresh, so no sticky heat and no mosquitoes – just comfort. The staff are genuinely kind and clearly take pride in what they do. And having Hau Tree right inside the hotel is such a treat – it’s one of Waikiki’s coolest spots, and you can just wander down for a drink or dinner without leaving “home.” Evenings had this lovely buzz – the lobby would fill with people, music and laughter drifting in, and it felt like you were part of something special. On a couple of mornings, a Hawaiian monk seal swam by, totally at ease, and everyone watched quietly – it felt like such a privilege. And right behind the hotel is Kapiʻolani Regional Park, perfect for a morning walk. The fact that the resort fee includes yoga classes was the cherry on top for me.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The price is super low, the rooms are spacious, the staff above and beyond friendly, everything was great. I highly recommend this place if you are traveling with kids or a group, or have an extended stay. Our room had a full kitchen with cookware, even a rice cooker! Full size fridge, all of the amenities one could want. The dining area was large, and the view from the balcony was amazing! The pool floor is very fun, with a clean pool and two jacuzzis, even a playground area for little kids and lots of bbq grills to use. This is a no-frills place that still keeps a nice level of comfort. I now highly recommend staying here, and we will be back! 😊

I only stayed for one night but what an amazing stay did I had! I booked a standard room but those were all booked so I got a free upgrade to the junior suite, that was so sweet of them. The room was very spacious, clean, welcoming and nice! The balcony was also very nice and the view was gorgeous. The staff was very welcoming and kind:). I am often in Hawaii so I can say with confidence that the location is very nice and centrally located. The bus stop is only a 2min walk from the hotel and the beach is also only a 9min walk! Breakfast was also very nice! All and all an amazing experience and would definitely recommend.

An expensive place, best suited for a few days stopover rather than a 2 to 3 week holiday destination. A Pearl Harbour tour/visit provides an interesting historical experience, and any water based activities are great for a first time visitor. The Polynesian Culture Centre (PCC) is also educational and informative. Give the luau experience a miss, especially those provided by the hotels - overpriced. However f you would like to have the experience, perhaps do so as part of your visit to PCC. You can get around the Waikiki area without a car (walk, or take public transport (The Bus). Soon there will be a railway connection as a new option for some of your planned travel, Try Fire & Grill restaurant for a meal, give Earls a miss. Got a family - try Dennys - old but reliable, value for money.

We were visiting my son and daughter-in-law, who live on Wheeler Airforce base. Kapolei is 20-25 minutes from Waihiwa so they could easily come to us for dinner (hotel is next to a mall with lots of restaurant options); we were also close to Honolulu (30 minutes) and the Bishop museum; pearl harbor; Honolulu art museum; and the West beaches like Electric beach. North shore about 35-40 minutes. Kapolei is a central location away from the tourist craziness of Waikiki.

The property itself is very run down and old needing a lot of love. The construction that was going on was not an issue. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The ac they speak of is a window unit which no where near reaches past the living room/kitchen and bed. The kitchen was not complete with decent cooking pans. I certainly would not stay here again. The only nice thing about this condo was the beach access.

Location was exactly what we were looking for away from the chaos of Honolulu. Paradise Bay Resort is a great place to stay, Whiskey Smoke 808 Bar-b-Q is a good value, and Haleiwa Joe's Haiku Gardens is good but pricey. Beautiful beach, that was the best part.

Beautiful beach, that was the best part. The prices in Hawaii are ridiculous. Very high. The are grocery stores that you can buy your own food and cook if you have a kitchen. Nice people. My fav was the taco truck that had such good fresh healthy food. I would eat there everyday. He was on Kihapai st and oneawa st , late in the evening. Best recommendation. Its mostly safe, some homeless here and there not much in the residential areas. Few bars from high end, to crossroads to Kailua tavern that has the best karaoke bartender you have ever heard. He sings and makes your drinks. Food is ok, if you are a foodies it's hit and miss.. in the restaurants.. Super fun, you can get amazing surfing cheap lessons with Mike and Andy at 808 Surt School by Kamehameha Hwy opposite of the shrimp shack. Lot of great experiences, so much beautiful sun. Beautiful place. We'll be back.

This can be a good place to stay you may have to over look some of the issues this location has. THIS IS NOT A JW MARRIOTT don't expect it. Even pricey hotels aren't perfect. The beach is close and turtles do land on it in the evenings. The water is very shallow all the way out to the reef - probably good for beginners. This location is close to the Polynesian Cultural Center and is about the middle of all North Shore points of interest. We did not stay in the room much because we were away seeing the rest of the island during the day.
