wow! The cottages are everything you can wish for and more. The view on the lake is breathtaking. All the facilities in the cottages are great. We cooked dinner and breakfast and it was perfect. The check in / out process was hassle free.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away.

Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.

Set in a renovated farmhouse, this guest house is located by Lake Lagarfljót in Eglisstadir village.

Very cosy hotel with nice and comfortable room. Great ambience in the hotel lobby that comes with a nice snowy view in winter was exceptionally nice to hang out. Our room faces the town. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This family-run hotel enjoys a countryside location by Road 93, overlooking central Egilsstadir, 2 km away. Free WiFi access in the lobby and garden views can be enjoyed.

it was very clean, the hotel manager was really nice and welcoming. The hot tube was a very nice surprise we really enjoyed it and the breakfast was superb. Location was very nice in a quiet location in the woods but close enough from town.

We got trapped in the town during a snow storm and we booked the place last minute. The host was as nice and helpful as it gets! She upgraded our room to the one with balcony, as some guests didn’t arrive due to the road closure and she let us stay longer while waiting for a passage through the mountains. The room was beautiful, big, clean and cozy! We loved the view and the bathroom. Even the soap in the bathroom was special, the details were just amazing. If all guesthouses would be on this level, the world would be a nicer place. We will come back!

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Really enjoyed the hot tub. The host was extremely sweet, go in touch with us prompty before check in to share all the information. Also met us at check out to give a box of chocolates. Really enjoyed our stay

This hotel was nice surprise. Ordered because couldn’t get anything in Egilsstadir, but at the end it was very good experience. The town itself is worth to stop by- i loved it the most while travelling ring road- it is small and cozy, located by fjord. And the hotel is in old house, but inside perfectly equipped. Common kitchen was very useful- all what is needed to arrange small picknick just outside the hotel (there is a table).

The kitchen was easy to use and well-stocked. Loved the option for using both grill and counter top oven. The clothes line was convenient and appreciated. The place was comfy yet spacious and had an nice option for outside sitting (and even grilling). This was one of of our favorite spots in our two-week tour circling Iceland.

The place seems to be converted from an old bank, and it’s got a nice vintage vibe. The view from the window is great too. The check-in location is about a 5-minute walk from where the rooms actually are, but overall, everything was really good.

This Seydisfjordur Guesthouse is situated in the eastern fjords of Iceland, 25 minutes’ drive from Egilsstadir Airport. It offers free WiFi and a garden.
