The little amazing hotel is in a beautiful “old town” called Sacro Monte. You can do your own walking tour through the beautiful old streets. there is something special to see in every street and corner of the little town. We had a lovely room with a spectacular view! You really feel like you are in old town Italy. We were only there for one night, but it was still very nice. The bathroom was a little small, but it did not bother us. The bed was nice and the room was warm(we were there in winter). We had dinner at the Hotel’s restaurant. The dining hall was made up beautifully with lights, candles and flowers. The music was romantic and the atmosphere was very nice. The dinner was very good. It was expensive for us coming from South Africa with a much weaker currency, but we still enjoyed the evening a lot. Breakfast was also lovely on the outside balcony overlooking the valley.

Albergo Bologna is located in Varese's historic centre, 5 minutes' walk from the main square. It was once part of a monastery dating back to 1550.

Great hotel and restaurant. Comfortable room with a very good air con, WiFi, nice little balcony. And I had all my dinners in their restaurant. A lot of choice, excellent service, very good home wine. The staff was really exceptional. The location is right in the center with a lot of places of interest nearby.
