The location was perfect. Right on the beach in front of the surf breaks. Staff were absolutely amazing, so genuine and helpful. The room was so clean big and comfortable. Great air conditioning. Surf board hire as well so easy to get out into the surf. Our favorite accomdation in Sri Lanka. We ended up extending our stay here and coming back again.

Don't miss Camellia if you visit Hikkaduwa. We spent a week in the charming mansion Camellia, centrally and quietly located, a few minutes walk away from the beach and center. The building is a little hidden from the street and is surrounded by a blooming garden. The room with all amenities was spacious and quiet. Our host Paddy spoiled us with a delicious and varied breakfast, he showed us the eating habits of the country with the respective national dishes. His humor and knowledge of the country and its people was unique, he helped his guests and also us with reservations, excursions and transfers. We highly recommend this property and will book this accommodation again on our visit.

I felt at home in this place - killer breakfasts after which you need to lie in bed for two hours, the hotel is very cozy, the rooms are very comfortable, a huge swimming pool. I didn't want to leave this place, and even more I wanted to take it with me, since we understood that in other places in Sri Lanka it would be unlikely to be possible to stay in a similar place...

Nisham and his family are the most welcoming, kind and friendly hosts you will ever meet. We felt like family by the time we left. Our newly renovated deluxe room for the week was quiet, spacious and spotless, including the large bathroom with no unpleasant odors or mould. We stayed on the top floor overlooking lush greenery and the cleanest pool in Sri Lanka. The beds were comfortable with clean white cotton sheets and the room had all the usual hotel items. Mini fridge, kettle and room safe. Air con worked well. Outside each room is a comfortable sitting area and towel drying rack. A bonus on each level is the shared kitchen with all your cooking equipment needs, crockery, full size fridge if you feel like cooking a meal or mixing a cocktail and also a dining table and chairs. Another welcome bonus is the free washing machine. Tuk Tuk only costs about (@USD$2) to the centre of Hikkaduwa with all the restaurants, bars, shops and noise.

The villa is located 5 minutes from the beach, inside the villa is very cozy and clean, very welcoming and friendly hosts. The room has its own bathroom and air conditioning. There are refrigerators in the hall and there is a kitchen with a gas stove. Near the villa there are cafes where they cook very tasty, and what can be especially noted from fresh products. I definitely recommend the villa for living, and if we have the opportunity to return to Hikkaduwa, we will definitely stay here.

The daily manager Sisira and his family and staff are the perfect hosts- they are professional and attentive, not intrusive and leave you to your privacy on your porch/balcony. The garden and the pool are beautifully kept and maintained. The location is perfect in the quiet backstreets off the busy main road, yet close to restaurants and the beach. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. We were so lucky that Sisira offered to cook dinner for us one night. If you get the offer, make sure that you say yes. He is a former professional chef, and the Sri Lankan food that he served for us on our porch was some of the best that we had on our trip. Needless to say, we highly recommend this place.

They have a sign saying this is your second home and nothing could be more true! Such an incredibly wonderful family running this guesthouse - kind, smiling and happy. It is right on the beach and the best part of the beach for swimming and surfing. The food in their restaurant is delicious and we had most of our meals there. My 2 night stay extended to 7 nights and we have already booked to go back! Rooms are big and spacious. Everything here is perfect!
