This property offers sea-view rooms with access to a fully equipped shared kitchen. WiFi and on-site parking are free. I reserved gesthouse rooms with shared bathroom (because no other room left) and I had my doubts. But the reality exceeded my expectations. Small but cozy room, comfortable bad, linens, towels like in 5* hotel, bath rooms are like 5*hotel too. In addition, you have a shared kitchen. Instead, we tryed the hotel restaurant and enjoyed it very much. The spa is superb!!! Don't miss it! We had a discount for spa about 17%. Sea view was wonderful, like TV with wild sea life podcast just outside your windows. Lots of seabirds! Puffings lookout just 5 min drive away.

During our Icelandic journey, we had the pleasure of staying at Við Lónið Guesthouse in Seyðisfjörður, a town renowned for its rich history and picturesque landscapes. The guesthouse, housed in a building constructed in 1907 and imported from Norway, exudes historical charm, having previously served as a clothing and convenience store, art studio, and café. Our room was a testament to Scandinavian minimalist design, featuring original wood furnishings that added warmth and authenticity. The private bathroom was well-appointed with a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. The highlight was the balcony, offering breathtaking views of the fjord and surrounding mountains, providing a serene backdrop to our stay. The guesthouse’s central location proved advantageous, with Seyðisfjörður Harbour and the iconic Blue Church just a short stroll away, making it an excellent base for exploring local attractions. The self-check-in process was seamless, allowing us to settle in without delay. Adding to the charm of our stay was a local cat that seemed to own the street. This regal feline often caught the attention of tourists, adding a unique and endearing touch to our experience.

Situated 37 km from Hengifoss, Lagarfell Studios offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can access the guest house via private entrance. Spacious room with kitchen facilities. Warm and comfortable. Having the use of a washing machine was a bonus. Location was great base for the area.

The property offers barbecue facilities and parking on-site. The cabin is dreamy. It’s a bit remote, but perfect for disconnecting. It has everything you need, though it’s a good idea to stop by a store before your visit. The jacuzzi and grill are a great addition. The view is incredible. We also went on a short hike to the Heljarfoss waterfall. Also we were lucky – we saw a small whale twice.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles. Amazing location and great dinner and breakfast! The hot pools were so nice!

Each holiday home has wooden interiors and a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. A sauna, hot tub and yoga mats are also available. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.
