The staff were awesome. Very hospitable and the food was outstanding. Ayurvedic (Sri Lankan medicine) massage therapy provided by their sister organization (next door) to me and my husband was also very good (Gabaa arranged this). Gabaa is a very customer focused resort. Will visit with the whole family next time.

- bed is really comfy and accommodation super clean - hot shower !!! - warm welcome from the family - Sheeva helps to organise all the activities as the place is strategically based in the center of the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka : safari for elephants, sunset and sunrise at lion rocks and Pidurangala rock but also reply to a lot of requests that is really nice (example: he told me how to get to his place by local bus so I could avoid paying a lot in taxi as a solo young traveller it’s really nice) - quite area - interesting discussion with the owner to learn about Sri Lanka story - food available (but I would recommend to check price in advance just to know what you are going to pay) - host organised for me an Ayurvedic treatment that was so good - good quality for the services provided compared to the price paid

We stayed two nights, Lasanta is very helpful. He came pick us up from the station with his Tuktuk and he helped us with everything we need! The wife’s cooking is delicious. We felt like home , super nice family! Highly recommend! (The room has hot water) Giada & Martina

Dinu and her parents were so sweet and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and they went above and beyond to help us. We checked out at 5 am, but they had breakfast takeaway ready for us.

Woodland Sanctuary is a truly magical place to stay. Absolutely fantastic stay! Place is brand new, the rooms are specious and the bathroom is huge and comfortable. The private pool and nice terrace were our highlight and spent plenty of time there. It is located slightly on the outside of town, but also walking distance from everything you need, so we loved it. Great to watch the fruit and veggie garden. Also have to mention fantastic manager, who took such a great care of us, answered all of our questions and request.

We had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, supporting us to plan and enjoy our trip. The food was one of our favourites of our trip - authentic sri lankan food, and incredibly tasty! Beautiful view and such an enjoyable stay.
