Perfect accommodation near beautiful tea plantations. Everything was clean, the bed was comfy and there was a warm blanket too, hot shower with good water pressure. The family was very friendly and helpful - they arranged tuktuk for us to Lipton's seat early in the morning, prepared sandwiches instead of breakfast for the trip, they even did our laundry. We also had a dinner there and it was absolutely delicious.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

The view from the room is really so unique and refresh everyday , the breakfast is so delicious , perfect breakfast, we could use the kitchen of the hôtel to cook our food , so nice and healthy environnement. Mr Chaminda (owner of the hôtel) he is à great man and always available for everything , he is the most strong point of this hôtel, we will come back again, is highly recommanded and high quality of price , we liked everything.

We have never experienced such kindness and genuine warmth from the staff before. The gentleman was incredibly helpful, even drawing us a map and thoroughly explaining the route so we wouldn’t get lost on our hike to Ella Rock. Additionally, he arranged a tuk-tuk to town on a rainy day and prepared the most delicious breakfasts we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the quiet surroundings made it perfect for relaxing after our mountain adventures.

Arawe is a beautifully designed retreat surrounded by a peaceful oasis of rice fields. The in-house breakfast and dinner surpassed the quality of nearby restaurants. Its convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from downtown Ella, offers a scenic pathway through hilly tea plantations. The highlight was the spacious deck with hammock floors, where we enjoyed lush green views. An added bonus was the opportunity to learn about the social projects led by Arawe Retreat, supporting local farmers and empowering women through macrame crafts. The apartment's boho flair with displayed goods adds a unique touch. We highly recommend this place (for solo travelers, couples, and families)!

We loved everything. Dewan, our butler, was super kind, gave us good tips what things to do with the time we had, talked with us, pick us up every time we needed, took us in a morning walk nature to see the sunrise on a top of a mountain and super helpfull all the time. All the staff was really kind, food is really tasty, the hotel is amazing and super confy and the view is insane. Our room was perfect. We travel a lot around the world and this hotel is one of our favorit ever. Recommend 100%. Hope to come back one day again.

Our stay in Ella was absolutely perfect! This was the best accommodation ever, with an amazing view of the waterfall. We had one of the best breakfasts of our lives, Dammi is an incredible chef! The hooper eggs and Sri Lankan pancakes were the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!

The rooms were clean and great, the host is really nice. He provides a tuktuk for a better price than Pickme. He made us tea when requested and also helped us plan our days in Ella and recommended restaurants. He is always there if you need help and guidance, or just somebody to talk to and pass the time with.
