Our experience at Kruger Gate Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property itself is stunning, beautifully designed and impeccably clean throughout. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering far more than we needed, especially since we spent most of our time out on safari. We used the gym, which was a great amenity, though we did miss having a spinning bike, would’ve loved that! My husband and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (we originally booked 3 nights and decided to extended 1 more) and honestly, we wish we had booked an extra day just to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The food was excellent every night, with a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, buffet-style, so we got to try something new each evening. The staff were truly exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. A special mention to our waiter: Excellent, yes, that’s his name! :) who remembered our names and our usual drinks, making every dinner feel personalized and welcoming. The reception team was also fantastic, both in person and via the WhatsApp concierge line. The game drives, organized with an external provider, were also a highlight. Everything was well-coordinated, from timing to the packed breakfasts that were ready for us each morning. All in all, we highly recommend Kruger Gate Hotel

We loved that you can do safari drives in both the Kruger national park, which is huge, and the Sabi Sands that is more intimate and you can get a little closer to the animals. The staff make this place amazing, all so kind and accommodating. We loved our guide Percy who really went above and beyond on our drives, and Matt who was really accommodating, plus all other staff (too many to mention). The food was great, all meals. The tents are nicer than expected with really comfortable, large beds, air con and a good shower/bathroom. The pool area is also really nice and they are building a second. Overall really great value and the perfect safari experience. We hope to return again!

A car rental service is available at the bed and breakfast. Everything! New, clean, good wifi, amazing staff, nice breakfast, walking distance to the market, a restaurant, liquour store! Definetly worth it! I recommend!

A private entrance leads guests into the apartment, where they can enjoy some fruits and chocolates or cookies. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Huge place with 3 bedrooms. Nice kitchen, perfect base for Panorama route. Nearby Spar provides convenient meals. Very friendly host.

Ruan and his family (owners of the lodge) were super welcoming and so friendly. They let their home become ours which was a very personal touch! Would highly recommend!

Guests staying at Sunbirds Oasis Lodge have access to the in-house wellness area which includes a fitness centre. We felt very special in this beautiful place. The service was outstanding. The pool area was the perfect place after an exhausting safari. Also the view platform is very nice and if you are lucky you can see some animals as well. Plus point: There are three very friendly ostriches in the place. Thanks a lot for a very special time for us. Highly recommended! Dinner was also delicious in a modern and artful Restaurant.

A buffet, continental or Full English/Irish breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. This place is a little gem. Perfect location, right next to incredible reserves in greater Kruger. One day we woke up to giraffes right at our doorstep. The owner is absolutely lovely, helpful and attentive to every detail. She helped us arrange all our outings, food orders and everything we asked. The food she made was the most delicious we had in South Africa, even compared to our 5 star JHB hotel. We are vegetarian and have some food allergies and she catered to every need. The room itself is gorgeous with one indoor and one outdoor shower, and one indoor and one outdoor bed to watch the milky way at night and hear the lions roar. Truly magical.

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. I want to thank the staff of Maroelani lodge. We stayed may 15-17 and it was a Amazing experiencie. The service, the atenttion, the rooms, the food and the game drives. We had a welcome drink that was so good & also all the wines and cocktails were excelent. It was my birthday and they made it extra special, one of the most wonderful ones. They even sang happy birthday to me with a cake and decorate my room. It was the best service, stay here. You won't regret it. Thank thank you for the incredible stay.

The room was gorgeous (with a pool and outdoor showers so we can enjoy the water while being eyed by giraffes, impala, and baboons), they organised a night outside under the stars in an observation tower, a game drive that we'll never forget, a picnic by the river, a chance to meet elephants at a nearby reserve, and many delicious meals that we enjoyed on our own. The perfect retreat regardless of whether it's family or something romantic. I can't wait to come back.
