Our experience at Kruger Gate Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property itself is stunning, beautifully designed and impeccably clean throughout. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering far more than we needed, especially since we spent most of our time out on safari. We used the gym, which was a great amenity, though we did miss having a spinning bike, would’ve loved that! My husband and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (we originally booked 3 nights and decided to extended 1 more) and honestly, we wish we had booked an extra day just to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The food was excellent every night, with a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, buffet-style, so we got to try something new each evening. The staff were truly exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. A special mention to our waiter: Excellent, yes, that’s his name! :) who remembered our names and our usual drinks, making every dinner feel personalized and welcoming. The reception team was also fantastic, both in person and via the WhatsApp concierge line. The game drives, organized with an external provider, were also a highlight. Everything was well-coordinated, from timing to the packed breakfasts that were ready for us each morning. All in all, we highly recommend Kruger Gate Hotel

A buffet, continental or Full English/Irish breakfast is available at the property. We loved that you can do safari drives in both the Kruger national park, which is huge, and the Sabi Sands that is more intimate and you can get a little closer to the animals. The staff make this place amazing, all so kind and accommodating. We loved our guide Percy who really went above and beyond on our drives, and Matt who was really accommodating, plus all other staff (too many to mention). The food was great, all meals. The tents are nicer than expected with really comfortable, large beds, air con and a good shower/bathroom. The pool area is also really nice and they are building a second. Overall really great value and the perfect safari experience. We hope to return again!

A variety of wellness packages are available for guests to get rejuvenated on-site. The area is popular for cycling and hiking, and bike hire is available at this 5-star bed and breakfast. A car rental service is available at the bed and breakfast. Everything! New, clean, good wifi, amazing staff, nice breakfast, walking distance to the market, a restaurant, liquour store! Definetly worth it! I recommend!

The spacious apartment with a terrace and mountain views has 3 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, and 2 bathrooms with a bath. A private entrance leads guests into the apartment, where they can enjoy some fruits and chocolates or cookies. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Huge place with 3 bedrooms. Nice kitchen, perfect base for Panorama route. Nearby Spar provides convenient meals. Very friendly host.

The views are beautiful, the night sky was stunning. The house has been built to catch both the sunrise and sunset. The staff were fabulous both at the house and the Spa. We walked in the forest and found the lavendar and rosemary field. We had a wonderful few days and will definitely be back.

Guests at Christies at 32 on Russell can enjoy a full English breakfast. Christies is a fantastic place to stay, reception, restaurant and all people is very kind. If you want a silent and quiet place to stay outside the town, you find this Christies inside the town. It is a very good hotel to be. I promise, my next stay in Mbombela, will be at Christies

Monkey Thorn Lodge & Wellness Spa - Adults Only offers 5-star accommodation with a fitness centre, sauna and hot tub. We had an amazing stay at Monkey Thorn Lodge. From the moment we arrived it was really good. The manager and his staff were tops and looked after us really well. There is nothing you could fault. We sat on the veranda at sunset enjoying cocktails followed by a lovely meal. The beds are the best and our suite was very private. My wife loved the gardens and bird watching. We can highly recommend this establishment and will be back next year for longer.

The owners can also assist you with the organisation of safari excursions in open game vehicles and golf rounds at Leopard Creek Country Club. Day trips to Mozambique, Swaziland and the surrounding attractions can be arranged. It was a wonderful stay, the house, the food, the team, the place, the spa, the activities. The staff are attentive and genuine in their efforts to ensure your stay is a pure joy from start to finish. The food is great and plentiful. The tented accommodation is out of a film set.... It was a dream of a stay. We can't wait to come back x.
