The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious. This place is very special. It was atmospheric and lovely retaining all its original charm, but with wonderfully modern toilets and a modern bathroom with a deep wooden tub. We ended up enjoying the town of Suhara quite a bit as well, it is a lovely original post town. There is a fresh water spring right outside the front door which was also very special for us. The host clearly has his heart and soul in the place and I'm glad he is willing to share it.

Beautiful house, loved the hinoki bath, with views to the mountains and the setting right in the middle of Magome. We had an excellent suggestion from Marisol our host to go to Hillbilly cafe for coffee and it was our daily drink each morning.
