Hotel SØMA Sisimiut is located just 40 km from the Polar Circle and offers a 24 hr reception and a cafeteria. Sisimiut Harbour is just a 5-minute walk from the property. Wonderful modern hotel up the hill from the ferry terminal and fairly close to most businesses. Good onsite restaurant and delicious included breakfast of cereal, bread, cheese, juice, etc. They are very organized and did a great job even though it was very crowded with groups. The apartment has great location, view and the interior is simply amazing. We had very nice and cozy atmosphere, everything is clean and functional. The views are spectacular (we caught even a bit of Northern Lights). A great value for money when travelling in Greenland! And the host was super nice, arranged a boat trip for us the next day, taking care of all logistical details.

We were faster than expected, so we contacted the owner as soon as we arrived in town. He immediatly told us we could stay at the house and came to pick us up in 10min to bring us there. It is a bedroom in his home and he immediately made us feel very welcome. We had space in the fridge, the entire kitchen available and we were allowed to use the washing machine to clean all our stuff. The WiFi was also excellent. The host was very friendly and taught us lots about Greenland, Inuit culture and history and the surrounding area. He also offered to take us on a boat trip to the ghost village (at a much better rate than any other provider). All in all a great place to stay!
