This beautiful cabin totally surpassed my expectations. It was truly incredible. The design is modern and clean and it's beautifully decorated. It is immaculately clean, really comfy bed, very well equipped kitchen. There is even a BBQ for summer guests. You can park very close to the cabin. Perfect for a couple or single traveller. The location is stunning surrounded by mountains and with two sides of the cabin being windows you can watch sunset and sunrise over the lake which was really special. It is isolated enough to get stunning northern lights displays, but easy to reach. If you want to buy alcohol you need to travel to Fludir, but that was no problem as I combined it with a trip to the Secret Lagoon. It is well situated to visit Thingvellir, Gullfoss and the Geysir area. I was lucky enough to be treated to 2 nights of incredible aurora displays visible from the back of the cabin. I travel a lot and this is the nicest place I have stayed in a very long time, I can't really put it into words. I immediately felt cosy, relaxed and a sense of happiness. Just a stunning place.

House is amazing. When you see it from the outside, it doesn't do it justice. The house is absolutely gorgeous! So nice inside-great setup, kitchen, appliances, thought into design (plenty of hooks to hang things, etc). Everything looks new. Nice artwork, great architectural design, high ceilings and windows. Down a quiet road. Directions were good. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

The room and the bathroom were clean and big. The location was easy to find and accessible. Check in was a self check in which was easy too. When we arrived the owner was there, because they were renovating the showers. He was very nice and welcomed us. If we had more time, we would have stayed longer

breathtaking location and close to laugarvatn geothermal area. We especially like the country charm of the cottage, with coloring books and games provided for the family. They provided a baby chair for the dinner table and overall, we had a great stay.

The atmosphere was very quaint and love the family history and farm atmosphere. Beautiful rooms. Everything feels very authentic. The manager was very kind and helpful. Good food, gorgeous views. Absolutely a must!
