During the off-season (winter) it is a very quiet town, and great for a quiet getaway. The local pub has good meals and reasonable prices, although was not open late. May have longer hours during peak season and warmer weather. Nice place to base with easy drives to other towns in Southern Yorke Peninsula - we did Stansbury, Yorketown, Point Turton and Minlaton in the 1 day. Admittedly, being a weekend, most shops and venues are closed after 1pm on Saturdays, so limited options to browse shops and spend money! We achieved our goal of visiting Water Tower Art Trail over the weekend quiet easily, and all worth stopping for.

The walks along the beach were grand.
The walks along the beach were grand. Though most will probably overlook it, Bennett Park is a gem. Volunteers have created a garden of native plants, with walkways leading around them, that is a real treasure. Port Vincent is also close to a magnificent national park, and the fishing is first rate. We feasted on blue swimmer crabs and gar fish, thanks to friends.CCathrynAustralia - 10Scored 10

Lovely and close to the pub, shops and beach, just a 20 metre walk. Nice room, spacious bed and comfortable place to stay and will do again. nice facilities for cooking with a decent size fridge. The room we had stayed in also allowed for the tv in both the lounge and bedroom and twin showers.
