We really did not spend much time in Port aux Basques. Just spent the night. The next morning we continued our trip to Norris Point. Maybe, next time we will take the time to investigate Port aux Basques.

We stayed in port aux basques the night we arrived on the island and the night before departing. It is a nice town to visit. Did just a bit of driving to see what was there. We ate at a restaurant in Margaree and it was not a good experience for us. Very long wait. One and a half hours to get food once order was placed.

I travelled down the west coast to see the fishing ports and the scenery. I was not disappointed, when I travelled down the coast, it was late in the afternoon and the sunset and scenery was marvellous. Great memories!

We just stayed overnight after taking the ferry. We were on our way to Gros Morne NP and should have driven a couple of hours to a different town. We were worried to have to drive in the dark but in July thiswouldn't have been a problem.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Hotel Port Aux Basques! Hurricane Lee forced a last-minute cancellation and re-booking of our ferry crossing and Hotel Port Aux Basques graciously allowed us to modify our booking due to the inclement weather.
I am also unable to provide any further evaluation due to the changes .
Excellent location. We stayed here with kids right after getting off the ferry and it was ideal for our purposes. Dinner at the restaurant was very reasonably priced and the hotel is adjacent to a great little walking trail that let us stretch our legs a bit after a full day in the car and on the ferry.
The staff were extremely friendly on both my stays here. The hotel is very close to the Nova Scotia & Newfoundland ferrys which is great. It's also within walking distance to Tim Hortons. The rooms are modest but clean & the beds are comfortable.
Great location for the ferry terminal.
A good sized hotel so fairly easy to get a booking. The meal in the evening was very good and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and everything "worked"
Clean hotel, strategically located close to the Ferry. Clean hotel, reasonable price for the breakfast as well as the room. I would stay again if travelling in Nfld and had to stay overnight for the ferry.
The room had character but was entirely clean and attractive. The people at the front desk were friendly and efficient. The restaurant servers kept our coffee cups full and our meals on the table quickly.
The location is great for taking the ferry to Nova Scotia. The building is older but clean. The rooms are adequate. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was good. The breakfast was also good.
Beds were super comfortable. location is great fir getting off the ferry. Explored the area for a few hours then to bed at the hotel. AC worked great and room was very clean.
