This Blairmore, Alberta motel is 0.6 mi from Crowsnest Highway and 10 minutes' drive from Crowsnest Museum. It features a complimentary continental breakfast and free WiFi access throughout the motel....
a quaint little town rich in mining history. Close to many things to explore from Frank Slide to the Crowsnest Museum. Lots of hiking, and lots of interesting abandoned historical buildings and sites. We loved Country Encounters B&B and would highly recommend it.

Coleman, for us, has just been a good place to break a journey from central BC into Alberta. We have not explored its possibilities, but the location on the edge of the Rockies is beautiful, and the town has some convenient restaurants and nearby recreational facilities.

Coleman is 15-20 minutes in all directions from fantastic lakes and hiking. Sparsely populated, which I seek. Blairmore is only a few minutes away on the highway, and between the 2 towns one can find all services and food choices. The Crowsnest past was built on coal mining. There are many interpretive areas and signs that explain the history. Leitch Collieries was informative and historically interesting.

The charming History of this old Coal mining town west of the Frank Slide. Plenty to see and do in this most southerly area of Alberta. Great fishing! We caught two Rainbow Trout just on the outskirts of Coleman on The Crows nest River, this morning within two hours of fishing before we left for home.

Unfortunately I can see no reason to stay in Coleman when Blairmore is just a couple of miles down the road. I definitely would recommend stopping in Coleman to eat at The Rum Runner Restaurant and Bar. Great food and drink and atmosphere!

Townsite is under lots of construction around, especially on main street. Very dusty and noisy during the day and hoping for a 'face lift' and might become trendy and to attract more tourists probably in a year or two.
BEST hotel / B&B I’ve ever found! I travel a lot and this hotel is rare. It’s charming and beautiful- tastefully decorated with antiques that takes you back to gentler times. The breakfast is incredible- delicious and way too big so I asked for a mini which was perfect for me. The proprietor is lovely and a joy to be around. Outside my room was a spectacular view of Crowsnest Mountain…could not have been better.
It was like stepping back in time into a most beautiful historic hotel right out of the wild west. Beautifully decorated, spacious and a most interesting layout featuring multi level decks for lounging with views of Crowsnest Mountain. This was better than any mountain get away I've been on in ages. And did I mention the spectacular breakfast? OMG. It was over the top!
The location is great, downton Coleman, a walking distance to restaurants, and minutes away in car to the lakes and the coal mine attraction, and a lot of hikes. Also the room its very cozy with a gas fireplace, coach infront of the fireplace, coffe maker Kups included, microwave, toaster, lots of pillows, nice bed sheeting, etc. really a surpise for a small town.
The reception staff were very helpful. She gave suggestions for dinner at area restaurants that were good. And the suggestion for breakfast the next morning, took us to Coleman's charming historic main street and, a local café that served an incredible breakfast for reasonable prices. Something we wouldn't have found on our own or by using google. Thank you.
Dawn is a very friendly host who shared her history as an owner/business person. She has a unique property, making it a much more memorable stay than in one of the chain hotels. It is located off the main highway, so not so obvious to travellers. We also got great advice regarding dinner options around town during these COVID times.
This is a hidden gem. Clean, cozy. The owners are really friendly and go out of their way to help. The place is quiet. Yes , there is a train that goes by, but this is Coleman, and you will hear the train no matter where you stay.
This place is a gem. Good breakfast. Cute dog, great people. Check it out. Really.
It is an old building in Coleman, adapted to receive guests. Rooms were big, with private bathroom, and had access to common areas, with beautiful old furniture were you could read and enjoy the mountain view.
The best part is that this is managed by their owners and family. Awesome, hard working & nice people.
very cute hotel to stay in. I like how it feels like home, you get your own bedroom feeling accommodation and homemade breakfast in the mornings. Also on weekends there a really delicious winery across the road or under where you stay depending which room you get! I highly recommend😁
Unexpectedly excellent breakfast. We were very impressed and shared our experience with others. The dinner at the restaurant again was above expectations for the price. The location was a complete surprise having lived in Coleman 30 odd years ago…didn’t recognize it!
This is a renovated older hotel which is clean and comfortable with well equipped rooms and all sorts of extra amenities for guests. They are very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast is large and tasty. Definitely a pleasant stay and a place I would come back to.
awesome, tasty, and customizable breakfast. The suite is very good size, with plenty of room for a family, and two separate bedrooms. Perfect and much much better than a tight spaced hotel room.
We needed early check-in so we could prepare for a very important ceremony and the BCM Inn in Coleman made this possible despite their full house the night before. That was much appreciated.
My room was exceptional large. The furniture was all authentic and matched the period of the hotel. It was without a doubt one of the most remarkable rooms that I have ever stayed in.
A great hotel in the heart of Coleman. It is an old building restored. Across the street they own the restaurant and some new suites. Overall a fantastic stay in the area.
What a wonderful welcome to a beautiful hotel with oodles of charm and so cosy and comfortable
Best breakfast I have eaten on Canada so far. All the best for the future
I liked the location, claw foot bathtub with bath salts, the decor and the very generous included breakfast.
A gem in Coleman. 100 per cent recommend, thank you Dawn!
