My husband and I took the most beautiful vacation to Greece this last September, went to Athens 2 days, Mykonos 3 days, Chania 3 days then Athens 4 days. We had an amazing time everywhere and everyplace we stayed at. I can say this trip far exceeded my expectation.
But!! after being pampered respected and truly treated like royalty we got to Chania so excited to get to our hotel and continue this amazing adventure we were having so far. The hotel I had originally booked treated us so bad, I’m not going to go into that because I don’t want to take away from the praises I want to give to a person and his crew at Oscar Suits.
I booked Oscar Suites online within minutes of deciding to change hotels.
I called the hotel to send us a transfer saying “Please help us out of this place” I thought I was talking to an angle. Dimitri was so kind and helpful he assured me he had sent a taxi and not to worry. The taxi came and our desperation started to fade away. We got to the hotel and Dimitri and his great staff welcomed us as if we were family, when Dimitri saw the state we were in, he quickly said right now just go to your room rest and tomorrow we’ll finish the check in process. During our stay I remember telling them a hundred times that they were God sent to us.
I can definitely tell you Chania turned out to be the icing on our already delicious cake and we had an even more amazing and even better time because of these guys and the service they gave us was 10 star, five star is not enough for Oscar Suites and staff.
We are already looking forward for a repeat of our vacation minus the (But!!) part.
Much praising needs to be said for their 1st rate restaurant, 1st rate cleanliness, 1st rate service. We love and miss you!!

The room itself was really nice, renovated, electronic doors, mykonian style, nice mattress, all 4 pillows too soft for me but it was ok, clean (most important), beautiful view at the sea. Bottle of wine was in the room along with 2 bottles of water in the fridge. They provide beach towels, robes and also AMAZINGLY soft sleepers (grey colored that i loved). In general very nice hotel a little bit overpriced though.

Some lovely restaurants for evening dining nearby.
Some lovely restaurants for evening dining nearby. Rustic Garden was a favourite, and Nymfi was nice from the more expensive range. Good rustic Greek cooking at Romanza Family Tavern and authentic dishes at Mylonas Tavern for the more budget-conscious. Casa Di Mare for beachside dining. Sick of the beach/hotel pool? Then take a 2 Euro bus ride into Chania and explore the old town and the Venitian Port.

Very busy strip of road near the beach crammed with supermarkets and tavernas but once you got off that road the area was wonderful- would especially recommend the Horiatiki taverna for a friendly and genuine Greek meal plus the Drakiana taverna a little way out of town but located on the river and serving the most divine food.
The other thing was the ease of walking around the area with several waymarked routes to explore the countryside plus an easy bus ride into Chania

Agia Marina’s Main Street is filled with coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, souvenir shops….Its 15-20 mins walk to neighbouring Platanias. The beach in Agia Marina is nice but but there are so many others to explore. Loutraki beach is picturesque and Falasarna waters has beautiful shades of blue. The water is a little cooler but so inviting. Visit the Old Port. There are a variety of things to do. Take a stroll through the alley way streets or dance the night away.

This hotel is just behind the main road in Agia Marina, so it's nice and quiet. The staff were friendly, and check-in was easy. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a balcony overlooking the pool that had a rack to dry your wet pool/beach clothes and towels. The pool is great -- very chill with some simple food and drink options. It was an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, etc. and a decent launch point (we had a car) to other sites on the west side of Crete.
Good hospitality, kindness, and sincerity in dealing as if you were among your friends and family who love you. The location is excellent, close to bars, the market, and the bus stop to the city center, and the food is good and varied. The hotel manager, Anna, is an angel from heaven. She treats customers with kindness, love, and kindness. She is professional and experienced, Anastasia from the reception is more than wonderful and so are all the staff, thanks to them.
Elya is a network of boutique hotels, and you get high value for your money.
It’s located next to a beautiful beach, has nice rooms with great view to the beach (ours was a sea view room on the upper floor), really rich breakfast, and a nice stuff, (although not personal attitude too much- still it’s not a family business).
There’s a nice small pool and a private beach front.
The town is really nice and quiet tourist town, offering great restaurants and activities.
From the moment we got there to when we said goodbye, the staff were incredible. They were helpful when our car broke down, they were forthcoming with recommendations for restaurants, activities and beaches that were local, in chania or on the west side of Crete. The facilities were great, food was great. The Hotel had such a family feel to it and we couldn't have asked for anything more. We'll be back.
- Owners are very nice.
- Room was clean, spacious and modern.
- Pool is the Star! At 12m the pool was large enough for swimming laps. With only 20 (?) rooms that meant plenty of sun beds allowing quiet relaxation.
- Location was great, bus stop directly outside, a cheap and easy 10 mins ride into Chania. Two minutes to beach and nice Coffee shop & Supermarket. Plenty of restaurants around.
Lovely place with the bar on the beach. Staff is very friendly but some guys in reception could smile more when tell them good morning etc. Nektarius in the bar is clever guy, very friendly and make people have a party together. Nice also because no children there but our children came to Greece and we have to unlucky change hotel. Food very variety and good flavour. Never problems on toilet.
The property was perfectly located. You could find everything you need right around you. The host was really amazing and made this experience 10 times better. She offered soo many suggestions and would go above and beyond to make any type of arrangements necessary. The suites were really spacious and were maintained every single day. This is by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in.
Despite of a very windy week in Crete I had a very nice time in this hotel! All the people are very friendly and happy and they have a wonderful dining terrace where you can woutch the sunset or simply enjoy the seaside view at every moment of the day!
My room was pretty and very large and quiet. As it was a bit cold in April I did appraciete the heating pump a lot.
My overall stay was great. The Staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool area was great. The morning breakfast was delicious. The patio had a view of the pool area. The location (Agia Marina) was perfect. Nice beach town with plenty of beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants. Could take a bus or taxi into the city Chania which was only 15 to 20 minutes away.
Exceptionally clean and peaceful place. Great hosts - quiet, polite and very kind. We visited Balos, Falasarna, Elafonisi, Chania, Rethymno, Seitan Limani, Chora Sfakion. Many restaurants, supermarkets within a 2-minute walk. I recommend to everyone who wants to visit Crete and see the top beaches and the beautiful Chania and Rethymno.
Very clean accommodation, great location with many beach & restaurant/tavern options, the hospitality of the staff was beyond our expectations. Especially Nektaria was very helpful & kind & lovely, suggesting us a lot of places & things to do in Crete. The rooftop bar is awesome, so is Ana who prepared us some delicious cocktails.
Nice smallish resort on good stretch of beach west of Chania. the place is older but well kept. the staff is great - very friendly and helpful. the beach is nice but not the class white sand/turquoise water that you find in some places. outside the hotel there are many good (and many bad) places to eat.
We loved everything. If you do not need to rent a car then this hotel is just perfect: there is a sandy beach very close (only 2-3 min walk), a good grocery store 100 m away, plenty of good restaurants nearby, there is near a bus stop to Chania , the hotel is clean and fresh, there are also 2 pools !!
Excellent location, clean, very organized, wonderfull staff. Located 1 min by foot from a local beach, 5 mins by car from the old harbor , amazing location which allow you to see the old streets of chania with many restaurants that offer traditional food which are amazing.
The stuff was exceptional. Very kind, helpful and professional. They upgraded our room for free to an amazing room. The room and the hotel were very clean. The hotel is next to the beach, which is very convenient. Overall the experience was amazing.
Clean, comfortable rooms, staff are excellent, happy and helpful.I had a very pleasant stay. The location of the hotel is great and close to everything. This is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Crete & its people .
Great experience! One of the best hotels I tried in the area, big apartments and awesome facilities!
Very well located and very nice swimming pool area, will recommend it for sure. All went great! Staff very kind and gentle!

I thought the hotel was excellent. The staff were all so pleasant and helpful. Hotel spotless.Had an all inclusive package and the food was really excellent. Location was great with bus to Chania nearby.
The hotel is great overall, there are 4 pools, many facilities, great breakfast. The location is also perfect as the bus to Chania stops right in front and you are 20 mins to the town.
