BorgoTaro is a lovely little town, with good weather, not too hot, not too cold. Lots of cafe's restaurant. The food is always lovely, the people are friendly (English is widely spoken if needed) The railway station is within walking distance (there is also a bus to the station if wanted) As in all areas of italy the Railway fares are very reasonable and the rail service is excellent

It's an Italian Market town set up very much for the locals and not tourists, which is its charm.
We stayed over a long weekend and there were street Markets on three of those days. One was a mushroom festival as Borgo is at the centre of the porcini growing area.
Don't expect to find many English speakers but the locals are friendly and seem to be genuinely pleased to welcome tourists to their region.

It was in the centre, the staff were so friendly and accommodating, they went above and beyond! The hotel was quiet and facilities were amazing…and the air con was welcomed in the heat. I would highly recommend this hotel…
