It was really pity to see the city -orphan (. Absolutely filthy , the beach literally dying before your eyes . We found couple of restaurants ( TO-TO and “COMPANY 2”with good food and our hotel ( boutique hotel ARCHEO was very well kept and only these 2 things gave us nice impressions. The plAce has big potential but local consul needs to do a lot more to clean the streets of the city .

The shower in our room was amazing. We arrived grumpy and had difficulty parking. The owner went out of his way to help us and we were extremely grateful for his assistance. His restaurant recommendation was on point. And the bakery where you go for breakfast makes incredible pastries. INCREDIBLE. The flat itself was perfect, not too far from the beach and the center of Gela. Good size rooms and comfortable bed, functional kitchen and living room with a balcony where we could enjoy the local atmosphere of the street. The breakfast has a wide selections of pastries, fresh squeezed orange juice and other standard Italian hotel items. Room was large. Bed comfortable. Room quiet. Staff friendly and helpful, though mostly limited to Italian for communication.
