Excellent! If you want authentic Italy in a small hilltop town of approximately 200 residents with gorgeous views then this is the place to stay. Francesco is wonderful host and a great chef! The breakfasts are great! This is our 4th trip to Italy and one of our best stays! The scenic views are tremendous- observed numerous painters painting the scenery.

Photos don't do justice to this place, stunning, picturesque, and unique! our room was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated! Francesco was very kind and responsive. We checked in at midnight and he arrived within a few minutes to help us with the keys. His directions were so helpful and his breakfast (both omelet and crepe) is legendary! Thanks Francesco for making our stay truly unforgettable!

We called the ground floor apartment of Villa Poliflora our home for 6 magical unforgettable nights. This little gem is warm, clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly want or need during our stay. The helpfulness and attention to detail of the host Futura is wonderful, she is extremely available for any need. We received prompt support for anything we asked. Upon arrival there was fresh fruit, milk and a delicious home-baked torta (cake) made by her mother. The ground floor apartment is ideal for a couple. Location of the property is fantastic, right in the middle of the Val d'Orcia, there is parking available and a small grocery store at 50 meters. A stone’s throw to the beautiful medieval town of Monticchiello which offers remarkable views of the neighbouring Tuscan hills, with lovely restaurants in scenic locations serving Tuscan specialties and local wine. For cycling enthusiasts (which we are) you couldn’t ask for a better location with both paved roads and of course the famous strade bianche (white gravel roads) allowing us to explore medieval fortresses and amazing landscapes at our own pace (e-bikes are a great option!). Our ever-helpful host advised us regarding bike rental and also provided us with a number of suggested itineraries from Monticchiello. So happy we were able to ride the famous winding, cypress-lined road which was right on our doorstep! So if you’re thinking of exploring southern Tuscany’s Val d’Orcia region, look no further than Villa Poliflora for an authentic, unforgettable stay. Our fridge was fullt stocked with breakfast items. Our host was friendly and very responsive. The town was quiet and picturesque; a perfect home base to visit surrounding cities. The restaurants in the town were excellent.

The apartment is even more beautiful than in the photos. It was originally built about 800 years ago, and they have decorated respecting the original infrastracture. The location is great. You are walking steps from the gorgeous Tuscan views, gastronomy, and culture. Getting to Monticchiello is not easy, but Flora and Futura were extremely helpful guiding us and helping us as much as they could. Plus we were welcomed with some vanilla cake for breakfast and a basket of fruits. Flora was definitely the best host we've had! We felt at home and we would love to come back.
