Upon arrival, we were genuinely impressed by the picturesque location and the impressive building, an exquisitely restored castle by the sea. The surroundings were absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, the experience soured once we stepped inside our room.

Portopalo is well located for day trips to Noto, Modico etc...
Portopalo is well located for day trips to Noto, Modico etc and beach clubs. small very quiet town close to the very popular Marzamemi. The town itself is not that pretty or interesting and is fairly closed in without a central square .
Wonderful hotel with a lovely staff. Any time we needed anything, all of our questions were answered and they were so accommodating of all needs and every request. The rooms are unique and spacious, comfortable and most importantly spotless! The decor was quirky and full of personality. The bed was huge and so comfortable. Breakfast was generous and filled with a variety of choices for everyone. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an easy and clean place to stay in the area.
The B&B is strategically located to explore the South of Sicily - you can reach several different beaches within a 5-10 min ride. The B&B is also a few mins drive away from the nearest town (Portopalo), which boasts a number of good restaurants. The staff and owners at Cozzo Spadaro are very friendly and always happy to help wherever they can. The room was clean and tidy. The B&B also has a steakhouse/ butcher style restaurant that we went to twice - really good meat. Overall I had a great stay.
I Ciusiddi exceeded my expectations! It is a beautiful apartment with access to the kitchen, with a beautiful terrace and a very green garden. Lots of beautiful decorations, lots of amenities. Room, bathroom and surroundings very clean. In the kitchen you will find everything you need :) A few minutes by car to the town, close to the beach, also close to the charming Marzamemi. The owner was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend it!
Location is bang right into the dreamy little place called Portopalo di Capo Passero. It's close to everywhere. Very centrally-located and very well-sized apartment. Has all amenities and Francesca really went out of her way, to accomodate us. She was also super sweet and called me at once, when she found something I left behind. She also was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and all general info. She is a delightful host.
This is the second time I stayed at Perseo, and I can confirm the excellent review given last year.
Location is very comfortable, you are in center of the village, everything is at few steps from you.
Having dinner at the hotel restaurant is very very much appreciated, quality and taste are superb, and there is really value for money.
If nothing changes, this remains one of themes interesting spots in Portogallo
Great location can easily walk into town or down to beach, great view from the hotel and lovely hosts very friendly. Relaxing stay with fantastic sea view and quiet at night so great nights’ sleep. Great breakfast lots of options and served by lovely host who gave us local insight into where to go. Can’t fault it we had a great time !
Nice located hotel, impressive entrance, outdated rooms, very poor breakfast. Amazing terrace with no shade at all, which was a pity. What hurts about this hotel is that it could be so pretty. They only have one to two people working. With some investment and some eye for the detail this could be a great hotel.
The room was spacy and the location was good. There was a free parking on the street just in front of the door. The kitchen was equipped and there was a laundry machine. The owner was typical Sicilian- very polite and he explained a lot of things to us
The hotel is right on the water. The staff is friendly and accomodating.
There is a large public piazza with lots of activity. Two places to eat, get coffee, gelato, and even granita.
Small and humble room, but tidy and clean with all basic facilities. Great location for walking down to the center (the main road) of Portopalo and handy enough for the beach as well.
Beautiful location and views from the hotel. Pool area was great and breakfast was exceptional- best on European trip so far. Staff were also very friendly
