This is a beautiful suite hotel in a very small town in Tuscany. Our suite was on the first floor facing the street-no problem there -the street is very quiet at night. The suite was beautifully appointed and spacious. Bed was comfy and the kitchen supplies were great. In the morning you can order whatever coffee you want and a generous breakfast tray is brought to your room or to the upstairs outside terrace-whatever you want. Free parking next door. The town is tiny but the views are beautiful. The family owns a Michelen star restaurant in town which I highly recommend. All of the towns we visited were about 45 minutes away. We would pick two towns a day to visit. For the price this hotel was definitely worth it!

The food in the restaurant was outstanding; possibly the best we enjoyed during our trip through Tuscany

I loved that this beautiful place out in the country. It was so peaceful in the times that we were there. Each morning we would take a few steps to the kitchen and have morning cappucinos and a full breakfast. The hosts were more than kind with our meager attempts to communicate.
Our place had two rooms and a bath. Lovely decor and seemingly brand new. We were spoiled by the hostess making our bed and cleaning our place daily.
We loved visiting the small hill towns that weren't overrun with tourists. I highly recommend this lovely place to stay.

Il Poggio is located high in the hills of the Southern region of Tuscany and looks out at the entire surrounding valley, offering spectacular views. There was a giant veranda where you could eat breakfast and dinner, depending on the weather, and most importantly enjoy a nice glass of wine while looking out at the amazing view, watching the sunset! We enjoyed breakfast each morning! Dinners were also delicious! The employees were awesome! Simona greeted us on our first day and spent several hours helping me to make vineyard and tasting reservations! She went above and beyond to help ensure that my daughter and I had an enjoyable week. She gave us a very nice apartment with a beautiful view. The woman who worked during the week was also very sweet and she helped us with whatever we needed. She did not speak good english but would use google translate to communicate! The women who served breakfast and dinner were always very pleasant and attentive! My daughter and I enjoyed walking around the property. We went to visit the pigs and we also went to see the horses and went horseback riding. It was a little too chilly to go swimming.
San Filippo enjoys a location in Acquapendente, 18 miles from Duomo Orvieto and 25 miles from Mount Amiata. There's a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay.
Small and quite small town.
There were some of the places where you can do outdoor bbq. And it seemed like a public place. And the village itself was quiet and scenery from it is typical Tuscany view.
