We had a wonderful stay at Jaichy, which is located on a farm. The host family was very kind and welcoming. The yurt we slept in was large and comfortable. It had lights, a space heater and wifi. You can arrange for horseback riding and other activities. We chose to wander the dirt roads and into pastures, walking up toward the mountains. Stunning landscapes. The host family has their own museum which documents the political activities of the grandfather (who lives in the mountains) and also includes a display of traditional instruments and implements.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Yurt Camp Sonun. It was clean and offered everything we needed. It even had some amenities we didn’t expect, like WiFi, hot water, and electric heat in the yurts, which were a very nice bonus. It was a true Kyrgyz yurt experience right by the shore of Issyk-Kul. Zhenara runs the yurt camp and was very helpful and friendly before and during our stay. She helped organize a transfer which made it a lot easier to get between the yurt camp and Bishkek.
Food was tasty and warm, and the service was lovely. Feels like a lovely family establishment.
