I stayed at the Pure Formosa hotel on the Avenida Da Republica as well as the Cidade de Olhao.
The one on the Avenida is closer to all the amenities and the waterfront but the Cidade de Olhao is still very close.
There are trips to the islands from the waterfront which makes for a nice day out.

We enjoyed our stay in a rural location with beautiful views, we had a beautiful view from the balcony but the terrace doesn't have views, and the balcony was small but fine. Breakfast and dinner were great and it was good value. The staff were very nice. Car is a must.
