The common areas and room were clean and smelled nice. The beds were ok for one night, but a bit firm for me for much longer. The location of the hotel is perfect for a short shopping trip to Erie. We would stay again, if not for the following...

We went in the deep of winter to experience the lake and do some hiking. Erie Bluffs State Park and Presque Isle State Park were really nice without people and bugs of summer. Everyone we met was very nice and welcoming. I loved the multi-ethnic vibes, food places, neighborhoods, and waterfront of Erie. I was invited to attend an Eastern Orthodox service at a cool little church on Sunday morning as I walked around some of the older neighborhoods. The people and the church were beautiful. The Maritime Museum and walking by the working ship yards was very cool.

We travel to Erie previously quite a few times there was our first time staying at this hotel had I had more time off work I would have liked to stay longer maybe not at this hotel itself. Me and my spouse took our kids to Splash Lagoon which was excellent very tiring we ate at Smokey Bones which was amazing everything was real close to the hotel which was good. I would just recommend that hotel stating that there's no microwaves in the room.

We loved Presque Isle.
We loved Presque Isle. We spent some time walking the trails. The layout of the city is good, so you can find your way around easily. The zoo was a disappointment. You can tell, they are working on it but it still is a sad situation.

We were lucky and had beautiful weather.
We were lucky and had beautiful weather. So we spent most of out time outside at the Presque Isle recreation areas, eating outside, etc. If we had not been so fortunate we would have visited the Maritime Museum and the Art Museum and other places of interest to us. There are also so many great eateries, and in a 4-day visit like ours we could only sample a few.

I love being on the beach at Sunset & taking pictures, watching the waves come in, being in the sand & sun. Applebee's had Great food and service, I had the steak mashed potatoes broccoli delicious 6 oz steak, my husband had a hamburger, it was delicious, grandson had mac and cheese and chicken tenders his was fine, son-in-law had shrimp, he loved it.
We had adjoining rooms that were an added convenience. Our reason for being in Erie was the Tall Ship Festival. We could see the Ships from the windows in our rooms. We were swimming in the infinity pool Saturday evening. Several Tall Ships came up very close to the pool. We took some awesome pictures. On Sunday morning, we sailed on the Lettie G. Howard and actually helped to "Raise the Sails". What an experience!!! We had Sunday breakfast at The Bistro in the hotel lobby. Everything was delicious.
The service we received was above excellent. The front desk manager, Ramesh, took very good care of us. While this is an older property, you can tell they have been updating the rooms and facilities. We got a real, hot breakfast with a wide choice of food. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Erie. There was plenty of parking in the garage, so it was an easy trip by elevator up to our room without being exposed to the elements. We won't stay anywhere else in Erie from now on.
Breakfast - awesome! Front desk employee, Emily - amazing! Some problems w/our suite - moved us immediately to a different one. Everyone was super friendly. I highly recommend Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Erie-Summit Township! Given the present state of all industries experiencing issues w/getting employees, this staff, although somewhat limited was incredible!
Love that this hotel lived up to its proud certified claim. As a transfem who still looks like a guy right now, life is tough. The one staff member who needed to use my pronouns, actually gendered me correctly. That was the first time anyone has gendered my correctly, that's by far the best part of my month.

Daniel , the GM was welcoming , informative , surmounted any hiccups we had with grace and purpose and is clearly invested in his guests experience at this property. He clearly takes pride in his work and is working to make the hotel even better.
We have stayed at this location several times now. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly, beds are super comfortable! Location is close to Presque Isle peninsula, Erie Zoo, and Presque Isle Downs. Hotel is also close to numerous restaurants.
The location on the bay in Erie is very beautiful and the view from our room was delightful. The king room was spacious and very comfortable. We were traveling with our dog and appreciated the hotel’s pet friendly policy.
my complaints and issues will be made clear to the owners...very bad experience staff rude, manager ignorant and unprofessional...accusations made and unfounded and not evident...hotel robbed me of funds
Excellent & a very clean place to stay w/ a great downtown location. Chris is a great host. Easy to get to and very helpful Staff. I would recommend it as a place to stay to enjoy Erie Pa.
Pet Friendly!! Traveling with our 2 black Labs. Nice hotel. Great staff. Corn beef hash and more for free breakfast! We will be back! Great stay close to SplasH lagoon. Thanks again!
The room and facilities were very clean. The staff was very polite and the guests were very friendly as well. We would love to return back to this hotel for a future stay.
the location is very convenient next to motorway, and the soundproofing is good so you don’t hear the traffic the way you do at some of the other hotels in the area.
Spacious, clean, well kept and comfortable with friendly staff. Pet friendly, parking, nice park along Lake Erie just across the road. And breakfast is included!
