Best Western Plus Raleigh Crabtree Valley Hotel, hotel in Raleigh

This Raleigh hotel is 2 miles from I-440. It features an outdoor pool, and a hot buffet-style breakfast.

The room was very spacious. We got a unit with a balcony, which was a nice surprise. The curtains kept the light out and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped with toiletries. We had arrived by car and parking was not an issue. There is parking in front of the hotel and underneath the building. We did not have breakfast since it was served after 7am and we had to leave on an early flight. There's a Panera bread right next door in case you don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel. We had dinner at a wonderful Mexican restaurant called Dos Taquitos which we highly recommend. It's been a long time since we had such amazing Mexican food. Across from the restaurants, we had an ice cream shop which was very good as well.

Raleigh was great there were ten of us total, in the Marriott, we got around town fairly easy, beautiful city, Mariott was centrally located. Parking was not easy anywhere as it was N C State graduation, but at the hotel, it is misrepresented, we were charged $15 per day in advance and you had to pay every time you left the garage or you could not get out, I ended up paying another 46.00. The restaurants we visited were upscale and beautiful, food was great!! Breakfast at the Hotel every morning was very nice and plentiful, and a great staff. I used Booking dot com. for my reservations and have yet to get a printed-out billing, had to pay upfront in advance, but the rest of our group booked right online with the Marriot and was able to get a copy of their billing. I don't like that part, I should have received a detailed billing.

Beautiful hotel, however, not worth just under $400 for one night. Booked only because it was the only hotel with availability for the night I stayed and within walking distance of the Red Hat Amphitheater, otherwise no way I would have ever paid that insane price. Room was nice, but nowhere near that nice. Basic two queen bed room with a bathroom, not a suite, beds were comfy but even so, rate was ridiculous.

I stayed at the Super 8 with my family while visiting the North Carolina State Fair. The rooms were comfortable and up to date. Maybe they recently renovated the hotel rooms because it looked new. The manager and staff were friendly as well. We liked that the hotel was close to restaurants and the mall. I loved the outside area with the fireplace. I love that there was a late check out. When we come to Raleigh again or go anywhere to be honest, we will be staying at Hampton Inns.
