The food and the markets were my favorite! The historical aspect of the city is very interesting, and the buildings are so beautiful. Another Broken Egg Cafe is such a quaint and delicious breakfast spot. The Sunset Cruise on the catamaran was delightful. Next time we visit we will be sure to stay closer to town so we can walk instead of Uber. The ferry to Fort Sumter was really nice as well. Every single person that we encountered during our stay was super nice.

Overpriced city, it was not much to do there, overcrowed during long weekend. There is a decent USS museum - make sure to have about 5 hours to cover most of it. Most restaurants even those which are named as Fish restaurants might have no fish entrees. Prices for seafood are about $30-40 per enteree.

We loved the restaurants (we ate at Virginia’s on King’s, Cru Cafe and Leon’s Oyster Bar) our horse and carriage ride, a visit to Fort Sumter and going around some historic houses. Also loved that you can walk everywhere and it was easy to explore!

Very filthy mattresses were bloody sheets were dirty room was disgusting. TV didn’t work. The list goes on. Because we got in late and it was a one night stay thank God we just slipped in our clothes on top of the blankets.
We really enjoyed our time at the Andrew Pinckney Inn! Our room was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious and we had a beautiful view as we ate. Every staff member we encountered was kind, courteous, and helpful. The valet parking was worth the price and always fast. The location of the hotel was perfect for walking to many places. When we did need our car, the valet was really nice. Overall, we could not have asked for a better stay in downtown Charleston!
Neat boho type hotel. Pool area was fun. Pool servers were great. Best pet-friendly hotel I've ever stayed at, dogs are allowed pool-side, just not in the pool. The only negatives I have is DO NOT get a room next to the elevators, there were several loud groups of people arriving back late in the night and they were sooo loud. The price was quite high but it was an nice break from the typical "cheaper" hotel stay I usually select.
On reflection I would not stay in Charleston, rather I would stay somewhere outside the old Downtown area, where it's cheeper - $18 for a sandwich, and $8 for bad coffee.
Drive in, enjoy the historic area, drive out again for some sanity.
It's beautiful, charming, and everything I was expecting from Charleston; I loved the architecture and understand why it's such a destination.
Clean and comfortable room, great lobby with 24 Hour snack shop, breakfast was tasty & satisfying with a combination of sweet & savory options. Stay in Jan so too cold to try the pool. Hotel is outside of downtown & we used to stopover before our Cruise out of Port Charleston. Tip: for those cruising or flying, you may park your car for free there overnight--just ask front desk.
I looked all over for hotels that didnit allow pets and most glad I came across this hotel. In addition, the rooms were up to date, clean and comfortable. The manager and staff were hospitable and accommodating. Also, there's a very good restaurant next door to the hotel which was pretty convenient. I would definitely book this hotel again when traveling back to Charleston, SC.
New hotel so everything clean and staff especially front desk very helpful for negotiating the area and making great suggestions for side trips. We chose N Charleston since downtown area price prohibitive for accomodations.,but able to access all areas by car.
Overall comfortable, very nice hotel and very pleased with our accomodations...would stay again if in area
Great apartment style accommodations in a wonderful downtown Charleston location close to great shopping and restaurants. The apartment has limited but sufficient kitchen items for serving breakfast, coffee and snacks. It has been better equipped in the past so it is best to bring items you need if cooking. Beds are really comfortable.
I loved staying at this resort. The rooms were beautiful, and the view from the hotel was spectacular. We enjoyed s'mores by the firepits as well as live music in the evening. It was great to see the kids enjoying the Easter egg hunt. Breakfast and dinner at the Fish House were great. We also enjoyed the water taxi to visit Charleston.
The property has a really great location. If you’re up for it, you could honestly walk everywhere: it’s about 10-15 min walk to downtown Charleston. My husband and I hardly spent any time at the hotel and spent most of our time exploring so it definitely worked for it. The staff is also very friendly and the valet was a huge plus
Location is ideal, right in the heart of downtown Charleston and easy walking to stores and restaurants. The room was clean and nice, and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good too, but has a relatively minimal selection. Also, we’d recommend the MESU restaurant at the hotel, their food was really good.
Breakfast was good, had plenty of choices. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel was convenient - about half way between the airport and downtown Charleston.
- The location is great. 15 minute drive to downtown Charleston, 10 minutes to Patriots Point for Ft. Sumter Ferry
- Lots of great food in the area
- only reasonably priced hotel in the area!
- plenty of parking
Great location to restaurants and shopping in the downtown historic district. Good selection and variety of breakfast items. Clean, well designed hotel with lots of open air space and friendly staff.
