This hotel has many advantages: it is in a very nice neiborhood, La Jolla; it has parking for only USD 10/day which is very helpful for tourists traveling by car; the rooms are newly remodeled, spacious, and very clean; the bathroom was nice, clean, newly remodeled; the room was well equipped, including the fact that it had a table which can be used for work; the personnel was very-very friendly and helpful, nicely quickly answering any messages, questions, and requests; they have a nice outside pool and jacuzzi, and bikes for rent. I was the "Guest of the Day", so I was even more happy ))) As the Guest of the Day I got one free hour for two bikes, free parking and an early check-in. However, I was not able to use my early check-in because we came to La Jolla only in the evening but it was nice to have such an option. Next time I will definitely stay with them again without hesitation. I saw (and overheard) clients who stay with them every year. If I had a possibility to go to California every year, I would definitely stay with them every time I am in the San Diego area

Deze boetiekherberg ligt in centrum van de stad La Jolla in Californië en biedt ruime kamers in Balinese stijl met een compleet uitgeruste keuken, open haard en uitzicht over de Stille Oceaan. Staff were friendly and helpful (thank you Edwin!) and we could easy walk to lots of things in La Jolla. It is only another 5-10 mins further from the zoo than other properties I looked at, but glad we stayed in La Jolla at the Pantai. ☺️

The Grande Colonial La Jolla is a hotel from a past era, and in a good way. There's plenty of comfort and convenience, but the building and decor feel like last-century coastal California... and I mean that as high praise. I notice from the hotel's photos that there are rooms with ocean views, but I didn't know that when I booked and I was very pleased with our room and its view on main street La Jolla. A great stay, if too short.
