The property features river views and is 31 km from Skukuza Golf Course. Where to begin? This tented camp exceeded all of our expectations. The tents were beautiful - had everything we needed. We booked a river tent and so glad we did, the view was breathtaking and we were lucky enough to have elephants cross the river and walk right past our little balcony. The bed was v comfy, wifi was spotty but better than we expected considering we were in the bush. Staff were amazing - Hazel was brilliant and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a self catering camp so be sure to stock up before arriving so you don’t need to leave the park (there’s a big shopping mall is Hazeyview which is about an hour from the Kruger gate). Stayed for three nights and loved every minute. Can’t wait to come back!

Although it's a tent, it has all the hotel facilities inside, and the service is also very high standard. The three meals are also very good. I even ran into an antelope on the less than 100 meter road to dinner one day. Of course, if it's just these hardware, this Lodge won't leave a very prominent impression. Safari's tour guide will do everything possible to help you find animals. They share information about animal presence and will not rush back due to a 3-hour time limit. Before coming to Kruger, we had seen some animals in Chobe and on our first day here, we collected big five, which we were quite satisfied with. But the next morning Safari collected big five at once, and the luckiest thing was to see a group of five lions, who were located on the border of their private territory. I sincerely recommend the highly cost-effective Umkumbe bush lodge, and I believe I will always remember the beautiful memories here.

Set 25 miles from Dullstroom, Valley Of The Rainbow Estate features a garden and barbecue. Verloren Valei Nature Reserve is 40 km away. Free private parking is available on site. Tranquility and great fishing for trout (brown and rainbow) and largemouth bass. Another highlight was the perfectly kept green lawn around the dams. We were all barefoot for most of the time. bliss

Buffelshoek Tented Camp rates include full board accommodation and 2 game drives a day. This, however, does not include alcoholic beverages. Towels and bed linen are provided. The property was in Manyaleti and there were no fences. The animals were free to move around. We had hyenas, giraffe, elephants and lots of birds in our camp. Our game driver, Beksom, was unbelievable in the way he was able to find all the animals. We loved the simplicity of the camp. All the meals were excellent.

The tents feature an en suite bathroom with a shower, as well as an outdoor bath and shower. Very clean, excellent facilities, beautiful location, great staff, great food. Room was cleaned multiple times per day. Rooms were modern and beautiful. All buildings were up to standard to a 5 star safari lodge. Staff was very friendly and especially Sabelo made our stay into a success as a perfect guide. We saw all game from close by and he made sure we did not mis any of the game we wanted to see. Rest of the staff was also very helpful. They even organized to pick up our sunglasses which we had forgotten at the entrance gate. Excellent choice of foods for each course, large portions and multiple options to choose from for each meal.
