I will definitely come back and stay here again in the future.

I have stayed here several times. It is very expensive so it makes a lovely treat. Personally I like that it is all „auf Deutsch“. I like to experience a place from that country‘s perspective, plus I can work on my German!

Offering panoramic views of the Alpstein Massif, Hotel Alpenblick is located in the village of Schwende in the Canton of Appenzell. It offers direct mountain views in all rooms. everything! the staff was mega nice. the room was perfectly furnished. the view from the balcony was fascinating. we had a wonderful time at this hotel.

Great room layout for families with the kids room nested inside the suite. The bathroom and fixtures are high quality and very comfortable. The service is super friendly and helpful, they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible stay. The restaurant is high-end and family friendly, the wine card is top notch. Overall an excellent stay. Also, the self-service free water and drinks are great, though the delicious fresh tap water is still better. Excellent location close to the rail network that provides access to the whole region.
