Overlooking Ronda’s spectacular Tajo Gorge, the renovated Catalonia Reina Victoria Wellness & Spa offers an outdoor pool, a spa, extensive gardens and an à la carte restaurant with panoramic views. The location of the hotel is great. Room is nice and clean. Beds are super comfortable. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Breakfast is a buffet style. Fresh orange juice is a wonderful idea too. Swimming pool area is really pleasant and relaxing. We enjoyed staying there: feels like you are at the resort.

Everything!!!! This felt like true, old-fashioned Spain -- maybe even better than I had imagined. The hacienda setting amid olive groves in the mountains, plus pool, excellent AC, and fabulous shared kitchen were all extraordinary. One evening as we were sitting by the pool, a friendly fox trotted over to say hi. And the owner, Marie, was terrific, esp when we mislaid our keys late in the evening. Oh, and nearby Ronda is not to be missed. We even got to enjoy a local flamenco concert / lesson.

It's a working farm with a variety of animals to keep the kids amused. You can do worse than simply spending the day on the premises. Ideal location for exploring the Sierra de Grazalema and within easy reach of Arcos, Jerez, Cadiz, Seville and Setenil for a day trip. El Bosque is a charming little town with a nice selection of supermarkets cafes and restaurants. It's also the location of the office which issues the permits needed for some of the walks in the area. Excellent value for money. Our new favourite country retreat.

Set in beautiful gardens, this family-run country hotel provides a peaceful venue for a relaxing getaway in rural Andalusia. Located 15 minutes' drive from Ronda, it has a charming country setting. Superb accommodation near Ronda. Spacious room, excellent facilities, lovely outdoor seating areas, and buffet breakfast 8:30-11 am (8 euro). Very impressive.

It was our favourite meal of the trip with excellent food, great service and a wonderful setting on the terrace beside the river.
