Located a 5-minute drive from the centre of Nemours, the ibis Nemours offers spacious guest rooms equipped with modern amenities such as free WiFi access. The building is unattractive, even in the promo pics, and it is in an unusual setting. You need to go through a security gate to get in (which I did not know). The inside is very nice. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous -- and included! Our bathroom was apparently a one-piece the builders could ship in on a truck and insert whole -- it looked surprising, but worked well. We had a bunch of stuff to sort, so an elevator was nice. I was surprised we were near the highway but I did not hear it.

Hotel Victoria is set in a manor house with a tree-lined park, located just 1 km from the forest and and 650 metres from Fontainebleau Chateau. I arrived late at night and was delighted with the warm welcome. I was helped with the luggage all the way to my room (even though I am sure that is not required). The room was lovely and comfortable and had a nice view. The garden was pleasant and breakfast and coffee very nice. The staff went out of their way to make my stay an excellent one. Super professional amd super helpful. Holding on to my valuables, offering me international adaptor plugs, advising me on local eateries and directions, organising taxis - highly recommend this property to visitors and will definitely choose it again!
