The facility was the best ‘value for money’ in the area. The free local buses meant we could go anywhere. No restaurant in this hotel but that was okay as we went elsewhere, no problem. All! Even though it's a simple, local and antique hotel, our stay was great! Staring by Lee at front desk that was so kind and amazing to us. If you're expecting for a super fancy and impersonal hotel, this is not for you. The stay was great because it was simple, connected to the nature and cultural. You sleep and wake up with the sound of the animals outside and it was so beautiful. Breakfast is very nice and the area you get to eat is rich of details and, of course, more nature. Price was great for the offerings. If you are a nature and local culture appreciator, that place is for you.

I had a great stay. Diana was very friendly and accommodating. I had everything I needed, was even served a meal during my stay. I was in the smallest room (single bed) but it was comfortable and I made use of the common area upstairs none of the other guests were using. It was a lovely area to stay in, I did lots of hiking around different areas of Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. It was also very affordable compared to surrounding options - excellent value for money.
